Maintenance and Care

OUR MARBLE CHARACTERISTIC

All our marble products are sealed and have a special stain-resistant paint which makes them suitable for everyday use.

Care and Maintenance of Our Marble

Our marble is finished by hand and sealed for longevity

Although our marble products are sealed, they are still porous in nature and require some care. To ensure your new piece has a lifetime of longevity, here are our recommendations:

  • Protect the surface from acidic things like tomato sauce, fruit juice, wine, and coffee.
  • Should any spills occur, immediately wipe up using a clean damp cloth.
  • Avoid any type of acidic or abrasive cleaner, such as bleach, vinegar and harsh scrubbing pads. Acidic substances can corrode the marble surface and leave the stone looking dull.
  • Use caution when moving and when placing sharp or heavy objects, as this may cause scratches, chipping or cracking. Never drag or push the stone.
  • Use a resealer once a year or as required.

Care & Maintenance of Travertine

Handcrafted of vein-cut natural Italian travertine

  • Periodically clean with a damp cloth. A small amount of gentle dishwashing solutions may be used if necessary.
  • Natural pitting in travertine can accumulate fine particles; dust often or use a handheld vacuum or a soft-bristled brush with water and mild soap.
  • Refrain from using harsh cleaners or abrasive chemicals.
  • Protect the surface from acidic things like tomato sauce, fruit juice, wine, and coffee.
  • Spills should be immediately cleaned with a gentle cloth.
  • Avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on the surface of the travertine as it is a porous stone by nature and can be prone to nicks, scratches, and stains.
  • When moving your piece, use caution. Never drag or push the stone because doing so could cause it to crack and chip.
  • We recommend resealing your surface once a year or as required.
