Mikado Chair
Description
This piece is the creation of Danish designers Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen. Named "Mikado," the chair was manufactured by Kvist Møbler A/S in 1996. It has received the Bo Bedre Design Award and the 2002 Japan Good Design Award for Product Design. Mikado draws inspiration from the design of 18th-century English Windsor chairs. Through innovative design and superb craftsmanship, the designers have reinterpreted the clever fusion of tradition and modern design.
